Installation

The Installation Division is in charge of projects including design, build, and construction of fire protection systems. Our division includes NICET certified fire technicians, licensed electricians and project managers with direct experience in system installation and construction management.

Current Projects

Pentagon, Washington DC, Emergency Evacuation Guidance Lighting System (EGS)

The CFP Group’s was awarded the EGS for the Pentagon in Washingotn, D.C. Project consists of defining a configuration, select materials and components, develop detailed system drawings – specifying system configuration, materials and components, and connectivity, and provide the materials for an Evacuation Guidance System (EGS) that will operate in accordance with PFPA-CBRNE’s required EGS modes of operation. The EGS shall provide occupant egress routing and way finding during an emergency event using dynamic egress path directional lighting and exit door markings.

GSA West Virginia Forest Service Building

The CFP Group’s Construction Division was awarded the design/build fire alarm upgrade of the U.S Federal Forest Service Building in Elkins, WV. The project consists of replacing and upgrading the fire alarm system in an existing, occupied federal office facility.

National Park Service – Minuteman National Park

The CFP Group’s Construction Division was awarded the design/build fire alarm, sprinkler and security upgrade of the Minute Man National Park in Concord, MA. The project consists of designing and installing new fire alarm, sprinkler and security systems throughout numerous buildings of the facility.

U.S Consulate in Brussels, Belgium

The CFP Group’s Construction Division was awarded the design/build fire sprinkler system upgrade of the U.S Consulate in Brussels, Belgium. The project consists of designing and installing a new sprinkler system throughout the facility. This project is considered classified.

U.S Consulate in Montenegro

The CFP Group’s Construction Division was awarded the design/build fire sprinkler system upgrade of the U.S Consulate in Montenegro. The project consists of designing and installing a new sprinkler system and fire pump throughout the facility. This project is considered classified.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection

The CFP Construction Division was awarded the design and installation of a new fire alarm and communication system in the Data Center Facility located in Springfield, VA. The project consists of replacing and upgrading the fire alarm system in an existing, occupied mission-critical central computer data facility. The new system will consist of fire alarm, detection, mass notification and communication system features.

National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)

The CFP Construction Division was awarded the design and installation of a newly integrated fire alarm system and building automation system located in Gaithersburg, MD. The project consists of upgrading and integrating a the fire alarm and building automation systems in an existing, occupied laboratory facility.

U.S Army Corps of Engineers - Joint Systems Manufacturing Center

The Construction Division was awarded the fire alarm upgrade at the U.S Army Joint Systems Manuf. Center located in Lima, OH. The project will consist of fire alarm control panel replacements of over 30 buildings along with the installation of a new fiber optic network.

Fire Alarm System Upgrade at the U.S Federal Courthouse in Trenton, NJ

The Construction Division was awarded the fire alarm system upgrade of the U.S Federal Courthouse office towers located in Trenton, NJ by GSA. The project will consist of the installation of a new fire alarm system throughout two high-rise exiting courthouse buildings.

U.S. Coast Guard Hangar AFFF Repair/Upgrade at Elizabeth City Air Station

The Construction Division was awarded a fire system repair/upgrade of Hangar 55 of the USCG Air Station located in Elizabeth City, NC. The project will consist of the installation of a new AFFF suppression and fire pump system.

VA Philadelphia Center, Philadelphia, PA

The construction Division was awarded the fire alarm upgrade at the VA Medical Center building located in downtown Philadelphia, PA. The project will consist of fire alarm control panel replacements along with the installation of field fire alarm devices.

Fire Alarm Upgrade at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)

The construction Division was awarded the fire alarm upgrade of Building 245 of the NIST campus located in Gaithersburg, MD. The project will consist of the installation of a new fire alarm system throughout an existing building of the Government facility.

GSA: Fire Protection Upgrades at the Social Security Administration Main Campus in Woodlawn, MD

The CFP Group’s Construction Division was awarded multiple design/build fire protection projects at the main Social Security Administration Campus in Woodlawn, MD. The project consists of upgrading fire alarm control panels, fire detection and notification systems and the fire alarm fiber-optic reporting network of the campus. The project also includes new fire protection systems throughout mission-critical IT areas of the facility.

GSA: Fire Alarm Upgrade at the Huntsville Federal Courthouse Building facility in Huntsville, AL

The CFP Group’s Construction Division was awarded the design/build fire alarm upgrade of the U.S Federal Courthouse in Huntsville, AL. The project consists of replacing and upgrading the fire alarm system in an existing, occupied courthouse facility. The new system will consist of a voice evacuation and elevator recall features.

New York TRACON facility in Westbury, NY

The CFP Group’s Design/Build Division was awarded the fire protection upgrade of the TRACON (northeast corridor regional radar command) FAA facility in Westbury, New York. The project consists of upgrading the sprinkler and fire alarm systems in a mission critical facility. Mr. Mark Clark, a NICET certified professional, will serve as the project manager.

Past Performance

VA Department - Fire Alarm upgrades at Roseburg, OR and Fayetteville, NC Facilities.

Project included design and installation of new voice evacuation and fire alarm systems in medical facilities. The buildings are interconnected via fiber optive with a new central command tower.

General Services Administration OCACA Courthouse in Florida, Timberlake Jr. Courthouse in Florida and the Tampa Annex Courthouse in Florida.

Services include design/build/test/maintain of new fire alarm and emergency voice evacuation systems in three (3) existing and occupied U.S Federal Courthouses. Systems include new voice evacuation, interface with HVAC and Elevator Systems and new fire alarm devices. System also included interfacing fire alarm with security systems of the facilities as well as the construction of new central fire command rooms.

Federal Aviation Administration – Charlotte ATCT, in North Carolina, Peterson ATCT in Colorado and Westburg TRACON in New York.

Design and Installation of fire alarm system, voice evacuation and pre-action springler systems within existing air traffic control towers and TRACON facilities. The fire alarm system includes smoke detectors, manual pull stations and horn/strobes. Scope of work includes design, system installation, acceptance testing and system training. Work also includes general construction items such as replacement of fire doors, walls, HVAC system upgrades, concrete, etc.

GSA: Fire Alarm Upgrade at the Aberdeen Federal Courthouse Building facility in Aberdeen, MS

Veteran’s Administration – Roseburg Medical Facility in Roseburg, OR

The CFP Group’s Design/Build Division was awarded the fire alarm upgrade of the Roseburg VA Medical Facility in Roseburg, OR. The project consists of upgrading the fire alarm and security systems of numerous buildings of the medical facility. Mr. Brian Kellen, a senior electrician, will serve as the project manager.

This project consists of the upgrading of The Fire Alarm System at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

U.S Air Force - Peterson Air Force Base - Hangar 140 Upgrade

Contract type: Prime Contractor
Contract Activity: Upgrade repair of existing aircraft hangar at Peterson AFB.
The hangar has an approximate area of nearly 50,000 ft2 with adjacent storage, office and mechanical areas.

U.S. Corps of Engineer - Iowa Army Ammunition Plant

Contract type: Prime Contractor
Contract Activity: Design/Build of a base wide fire alarm system interconnecting 21 buildings.
The system includes manual pull stations, smoke detectors, sprinkler water flow switches, monitor modules, sprinkler valve tamper supervision, horns, strobes and control panels. Each building will consist of an independent zone or system and will be equipped with a radio transmitter. The central security/guard building will serve as the receiving station. The central security/guard building will be able to receive all alarm signals via radio transmission for each building with specific identification and alarm locations.

General Services Administration (Jackson - MS, Orlando - FLA and Miami -FLA)

Contract Activity: Fire Alarm System Repair - Jackson, MS
Services included site inspections, site audits, system overhaul and repair, system testing, preparation of as-built engineering drawings at the McCoy Federal Courthouse Building in Jackson, MS. The building consists of a main building of 14 floor levels and an adjacent one (1) floor child care facility. Fire Pump Repair of the Orlando Federal Courthouse - Orlando, FL. Services included site inspection, system repair, testing, training and preparation of O&M manuals for fire pump controller .3. Fire Inspection of the Miami Federal Courthouse - Miami, FL Services include site inspection of fire dampers, smoke dampers, fire ratings of materials, egress and smoke control features.

FAA: Peterson Air Traffic Control Tower- Colorado Springs, Colorado

Contract type: Prime Contractor
Contract Activity: Services provided included design/build of new fire alarm systems, standpipe systems as well as general construction upgrades.
Upgrades included HVAC, fire dampers, fire rated walls and misc. construction.

Veterans Administration Aleda E. Lutz Medical Facility – Saginaw, Michigan

Contract type: Prime Contractor (JV with Franke Risk Services)
Contract Activity: Services provided included design/build of new fire alarm and nurse call systems in numerous buildings at the Aleda E. Lutz Medical campus. The new systems are interconnected via fiber optic to a central fire command center. Applicable codes included NFPA and VA guidelines.

General Services Administration – Multiple U.S Federal Courthouses in Tampa and Ocala, FLA

Contract type: Sub Contractor
Contract Activity: Services provided included design/build of new fire alarm and emergency voice systems in existing and occupied U.S Federal Courthouses. Project also include HVAC ti-ins, fire dampers, fire rated walls and misc. construction.
